Eddi De Nadai, formerly Maestro Collaborator at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Staatsoper in Hannover, Verdi in Trieste, Lyric Experimental in Spoleto, Sociale in Trento, graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Venice Conservatory, studied conducting with Romolo Gessi, Donato Renzetti, Lior Shambadal and Deyan Pavlov. 

He was guest conductor at the Izmir Opera House and, from 2009 to 2013, at the Bolshoi Theater in Tashkent. He carries out an intense activity collaborating with prestigious orchestras (Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, City of Ferrara, Mitteleuropa Orchestra, Slovenian Radio and Television, Cordoba Symphony, Orpheus Kammerorchester Wien, Bacau Philharmonic, Odessa Philharmonic, Kiev String’s Orchestra, Albanian Radio and Television, Opera of Belgrade and Ljubljana, Astana Opera) and important soloists such as Bruno Canino, Rocco Filippini, Enrico Pieranunzi, Luciana D’Intino, Katia Ricciarelli, directing a vast symphonic and operatic repertoire in Italy and abroad. Recently he conducted Nabucco and Aida at the Taormina Opera Stars, Madama Butterfly at the Pucciniano Festival in Torre del Lago, The little sweep by Britten at the Verdi Theater in Pisa, La Cecchina by Piccinni and Maria de Buenos Aires in Piazzolla at the Teatro Comunale in Treviso. He inaugurated MittelFest 2016 in Cividale with the world premiere of Menocchio by R. Miani. He conducted the world premiere of Mauro Montalbetti’s Still Requies at the Milan Triennale and at the Teatro Grande in Brescia. He is the founder and artistic director of the Orpheus Ensemble, which is dedicated to instrumental literature of the twentieth century. He is also the creator and artistic director of the project “All Opera, guys! for the dissemination of the contemporary operatic repertoire for children, now in its fourteenth edition: in recent years he has created and directed The New Dress of the Emperor by Paolo Furlani, Arcibaldo Sonivari by Mario Pagotto, The little sweep by Benjamin Britten, La Fuggitiva by Lucio Gregoretti , New Year’s Eve by Renato Miani, The Wizard of Oz by Pierangelo Valtinoni, Christmas Tale by Carlo Galante. From 2002 to 2010 he was official pianist at the Gorizia International Vocal Chamber Music Competition He is a teacher at the Milan Conservatory.

She graduated from the Conservatorio Boito in Parma and then perfected her skills with Maestro Franco Corelli. One of the most sought-after and appreciated mezzo-sopranos in the Italian, German, and French repertoire, she is a regular guest at major Italian and European opera houses.

Among her upcoming engagements, she will sing Una Donna in INTOLLERANZA 1960 at the Salzburger Festspiele, LA FAVORITA in Piacenza, AIDA at the Arena di Verona, Ulrica in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA at the Festival Verdi in Parma.

She has also performed in Beethoven’s IX SINFONIA at the Lincoln Center in New York during the prestigious Mostly Mozart summer festival and at the Teatro Regio in Turin in Verdi’s MESSA DA REQUIEM at Rudolfinum in Prague and in Washington, in Bruckner’s TE DEUM at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the direction of Zubin Mehta, in Mendelssohn’s EIN SOMMERNACHTSTRAUM at the Teatro Regio in Parma under the direction of Jurij Temirkanov, in Berlioz’s LES TROYENS at the Teatro Bellini in Catania, in Mozart’s REQUIEM in Florence also under the direction of Zubin Mehta.

Anna Maria Chiuri’s discography includes on CD the contemporary opera PASQUA FIORENTINA by I. Capitanio (Bongiovanni), V. Bellini’s MESSA IN SOL, G.B. Sammartini’s PEZZI SACRI, A. She recently debuted at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Herodias in Strauss’s SALOME.

Franco Trinca

Born in Rome, he successfully completed his musical studies in orchestral conducting, composition, piano, and choral music and choral conducting at the “S.Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome.

Subsequently, he attended advanced courses in orchestral conducting at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Guennadi Rozhdestvensky and at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese with Donato Renzetti.

Since 1991, he has been living in Switzerland, where he has also obtained citizenship.

Currently, Franco Trinca holds the following positions: Music Director and First Kapellmeister of the Theater in Biel-Solothurn (TOBS), Music Director and lecturer at the “Schweizer Opernstudio” of the “Hochschule der Künste” in Bern, Artistic Director of the “Opéra de Genève.”

In addition to his symphonic activities, which have led him to conduct orchestras such as the Budapest Symphony, Rousse Symphony, Eurosinfoniker, Biel Symphony, Lucerne Symphony, National Orchestra of Porto, Geneva Chamber Orchestra, Bern Chamber Orchestra, Sanremo Symphony, and Genoa Philharmonic, Franco Trinca is actively involved in opera. He has conducted over a hundred different operas, including Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Macbeth, Rigoletto, and Un Ballo in maschera by G. Verdi, Die Zauberflöte, Così fan tutte, and Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart, I Puritani by V. Bellini, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La scala di seta, Il Signor Bruschino (Dom Pedro V Theatre – Macao), and La Cenerentola by G. Rossini.

In recent seasons, he has directed various works, including Alcina by G. F. Händel, Turandot by G. Puccini (Sejong Art Center – Seoul), Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini (Tokyo), and others.

Apart from his role as an orchestra conductor, Franco Trinca is also active as a concert pianist. He played for several years in a duo with the renowned clarinetist Gervase De Peyer and has a preference for accompanying singers in opera recitals or lieder performances.

Franco Trinca is fluent in Italian, German, French, English, and Spanish. His discography includes recordings such as Paul Hindemith’s “Kammermusik Nr. 3” (Nuova Era Records 1992), Geneviene Calame’s “Sur la margelle du monde” (Musica Helvetica 1995), Niccolò Piccinni’s “Le finte gemelle” (Dynamic 2002), W. A. Mozart’s “Klavierkonzert in Es Dur KV 482” (PanClassic – 2003), and Giovanni Paisiello’s “La Frascatana” (Bongiovanni – 2004).

He has also been involved in critical editions/revisions, including T. Traetta’s “Stabat Mater” (Ed. Kunzelmann), G. B. Pergolesi’s “Psalm – Laetatus sum” (Ed. Kunzelmann), G. Paisiello’s “La Frascatana” (Ed. Kunzelmann), and N. Piccinni’s “Didon” (Ed. Kunzelmann).

 

Nicholas Isherwood

He is currently one of the foremost singers of early and contemporary music worldwide. He has collaborated with renowned conductors and composers such as Joel Cohen, William Christie, Peter Eötvös, Paul McCreesh, Nicholas McGegan, Kent Nagano, Zubin Mehta, and Gennadi Rozhdestvensky. Additionally, he has worked with composers like Sylvano Bussotti, Elliott Carter, George Crumb, Hans Werner Henze, Mauricio Kagel, György Kurtág, Olivier Messiaen, Giacinto Scelsi, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Iannis Xenakis, Pascal Dusapin, Luca Francesconi, Wolfgang Rihm, Francesco Filidei, Matteo Franceschini, and Vittorio Montalti. 

He has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, including La Scala, Covent Garden, Théatre des Champs Elysées, Salzburg Festival, Concertgebouw, Berlin Staatsoper, Vienna Konzerthaus, and Tanglewood. Ivan Kyurkchuev

Ivan Kyurkchiev began his first violin lessons at the age of 5. Later, he continued his studies at the National School of Music in violin and classical singing under the guidance of Maestro Georgi Deliganev. He graduated from the State Academy of Music in Sofia, where he studied lyric singing with Professor Elena Kiselova.

After graduation, Ivan Kyurkchiev received a special award from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, the prestigious state scholarship to study at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy. For two consecutive seasons, Ivan Kyurkchiev worked under the guidance of the legendary Giulietta Simionato, Giuseppe di Stefano, and Luciano Silvestri.

In 1984, Ivan Kyurkchiev won the Tenore Enrico Caruso Competition in Milan, which launched his international career. He performed in major theaters such as the Arena di Verona, Torre del Lago, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro San Carlo, Teatro Reggio di Torino, Opera Marseille, Maggio Fiorentino, Teatro Bolshoi, and Carnegie Hall, just to name a few.

From 1996 to 1998, he accepted the position of General Director of the Opera Theater in Russe, Bulgaria. Under his direction, the theater performed in numerous European countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, gaining international prestige on some of the most eminent opera stages worldwide.

In 1998, Kyurkchiev assumed the position of General Director and Artistic Director of Opera Verdi Bulgaria. Under his guidance, Opera Verdi achieved a “miracle of Bulgarian opera,” with over 800 performances in Europe and North America, receiving immense critical and audience acclaim.

Kyurkchiev has been highly sought after on the juries of many international singing competitions, particularly the “Enrico Caruso” Competition in Naples, Italy, the “Ferruccio Tagliavini” Competition in Graz, Austria, and the “Franz Schubert” Competition in Russe, Bulgaria.
