Luca Scaccabarozzi received a master’s degree, summa cum laude, in piano performance at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan under Silvia Rumi. He received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the same conservatory studying under Paolo Bordoni, Alberto Baldrighi, Massimiliano Baggio, Monica Rurale and Cristina Carini. In addition, he obtained a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy at the State University of Milan, discussing a thesis on the music of Robert Schumann. In 2009 he received a specialization diploma in piano at the Musical Academy of Florence under the direction of Pier Narciso Masi. Luca has also participated in piano and chamber music courses and master classes with Aldo Ciccolini, Pier Narciso Masi, Ilya Poletaev, Karl Leister and Michele Sherepan. Luca directs various choral ensembles, among which Ensemble Vocale Mousikè, which received first prize at the “F.Gaffurio” National Choral Competition in Quartiano and second prize at the City of Fermo National Choral Competition. He is the assistant conductor of the professional ensemble Ars Cantica Choir. In November 2013 he also won the audition search as the new artistic director of the Torino Vocalensemble; with this group he entered the Grand Prix at the International Competition “Seghizzi” in Gorizia in 2015, getting the golden category and the prize as best Italian choir, best contemporary program and second utmost prize in the category “romantic music”.
