Budi Susanto Yohanes is a young conductor and composer from Indonesia. He studied choral conducting and vocal minor in Korea National University of Arts in  2012-2016 and graduated as Bachelor of Arts in Music and Choir Conducting. He started his choral music journey and established Gracioso Sonora Choir in  Malang within  year 1999.  Later on he became the conductor for ITS Student Choir in 2011.  Under his direction, the choirs has achieved numerous international awards in Busan, Miltenberg, Cantonigros, Rimini, Debrecen, Torrevieja and Seghizzi. He had experience as a chorister while taking part in Asian Youth Choir 2004-2010 in Japan and Philippines. As composer, Budi has produced nearly a hundred choral compositions for The Association for Music in International Schools and many Indonesian choir groups likewise. His compositions both original or folksong-adapted works has always brought special attention. He is acclaimed as one of the few composers with strong ability to  take up original ethnic elements of  traditional music from Sabang to Merauke and mix them into a contemporary piece.  Thanks to this level of expertise, Budi Susanto Yohanes has made a great honour for his country; making cultural diversity of Indonesia more widely known.
