After graduating from the department of Music Pedagogy, Božidar Crnjanski finished postgraduate studies in the field of choral conducting at the Academy of Arts (Novi Sad). Even as a student he participated in various projects, seminars and master classes for conducting (Campus Cantat – Dortmund, Winter School – Dubrovnik, with prof. Mats Nilsen, International Singing Week EC, Ljubljana, wth prof. Gary Graden, etc.). He is the first conductor from Serbia who collaborated with the Euro Choir (AGEC, Belgium) through workshops and concerts (Nis 2010). He was the conductor of many different amateur and professional choral ensembles, including Male Chamber Choir of the Serbian National Theatre Opera, octet “St. Serafim of Sarov“, mixed choir of the Academy of Arts, and Novi Sad Chamber Choir. The greatest success he achieved with the choir Svetozar Marković – today Novi Sad Chamber Choir. During the past ten years he participated with this choir at all important music events and competitions in Serbia and abroad, and won many awards He was awarded ’’the best conductor’’ prize at the 1st International Choral Festival in Sofia (2004) by the Choral Association of Bulgaria. He received the same award at the Festival of Music Societies of Vojvodina (2009, 2011), as well. Božidar Crnjanski works as a professor of choral conducting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
